When Disaster Strikes

Disaster Action members have written a number of leaflets for distribution to survivors of major disasters and the friends and relatives of those who may be killed or seriously injured. Our aim is to offer the benefit of our past experience to others and to enable those affected to understand what may happen in the hours and days after the disaster. Although each disaster is unique, they all have common features.

: : The Immediate Aftermath for Relatives and Friends
: : A Survivor in the Aftermath
: : Injury or death overseas
: : Overseas Disasters: the Immediate Aftermath
: : Beyond the First Anniversary
: : The Return of Personal Property
: : Setting Up Family and/or Survivor Support Groups
: : Reflections on Personal Experience of Disaster

We would be glad to have your feedback on whether the leaflets have been useful to you, or any areas that you feel we have not covered. We will be adding to the series later in 2007.
